Oprah Winfrey gets Honorary Oscar

Oprah Winfrey can include yet other title to her  reoccupy;Oscar winner.The former talk show anchor,who was nominated for 1985’s The Colour Purple,got the Academy of  Motion Picture Arts & Science’s Jean Hersholt Humnitarian Award,given for Philanthropic attempts.
According to People,she said that she never thought receiving an Oscar,especially for doing what is part of her calling,part of her being.She also says, "If you are not a former colored girl born in  Mississippi in 1954, it is impossible for you to know what this journey has meant.
Maria Shriver,Winfrey’s former colleague at Baltimore station WJR-TV awarded her with the honor.Her friends Tyler Perry,Sidney Poitier,Gayle King and John Travolta  attended the function
